On this day in 1980, one of the most iconic rock albums ever hit the stores.

AC/DC released its first album without Bon Scott, who died earlier that year.

“Back in Black” has since sold nearly 50 million albums worldwide, making it the 2nd best selling album of all time (behind Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”), and the NUMBER ONE selling rock album ever.

On a side note, I’ve been DJ’ing since 1991 in both clubs and wedding venues.  Conservatively I would say I’ve spun around 1,500 nights (that’s low… some weeks I was working 3-4 nights a week when I was young and stupid).   I can maybe think of ten times where I did NOT play “You Shook Me All Night Long.”  The song has a great intro, one of the most recognizable guitar riffs every, and everyone knows the words… even kids.

Here’s four videos off this great record.  Turn up your speakers at work and let your coworkers enjoy rock music in its most simple form.  AC/DC playing a few chords, Angus ripping an awesome solo, and Brian Johnson screaming out the lyrics.
