I spent Saturday evening with some great people. Alissa and Michael Bechtle celebrated their wedding at the Mandan Eagles, and let BeLoud Entertainment entertain the group.
The dancing started a little late, and we blew a breaker with our awesome light and sound show, but it looked like everyone had a great time, I know I did.
We tried something a little new this time around and brought in a digital camera and a 32″ LCD display. We had a couple of teenagers run around with the camera taking snapshots of the attendees and displayed them on the TV all night, occasionally swapping out memory cards to keep the photos fresh.
The photos, and some video taken with our video camera, and even some with my Droid X phone, are up for viewing at our Facebook page, so go check them out.
I hope everyone in attendance had a great time. Don’t forget about us when your next event comes around.
And once again, congratulations to Alissa and Michael… all the best!
Tomorrow night BeLoud Entertainment will be providing the entertainment, well the music anyway, for the 2nd Borrowed Bucks Firetruck Foam Party at Borrowed Bucks in Bismarck.
If you missed the first one, you missed quite a spectacle. Foam was pumped into a 15×25′ pit by a full-sized firetruck. Maximum depth was about 6′ at times.
Throw in some loud music and friends, push blend, and you have got yourself one extra-special evening.
Check out the videos and photos from the first Foam Party below, and then grab your beach gear and head on down to Bucks tomorrow night.
(by they way, drink specials are $10 all you can drink from 8-10pm).
I was asked to perform this year as “pre-game” entertainment for the Mandan Independence Day Parade.
And it was a good time. Sun, music, American flags flying all over the place… you can’t get much better than that.
I had to fight through some issues with microphones and not being able to see my computer screen because of the sun, but with some determination and good ol’ North Dakota ingeniuity I came up with a umbrella/tote cover/cardboard solution that worked just fine.
Oh, and hopefully Mandan successfully set the record for the world’s longest line dance when we performed the Chicken Dance down the entire length of Main Street. Of course we captured video of it…
See you next year at the parade… there’s already talk about a BeLoud Entertainment float so we can rock the whole parade route instead of just a corner.

Last night (Friday, June 4, 2010), Borrowed Bucks and BeLoud Entertainment unleashed the first ever Fire Truck Foam Party on Bismarck, ND.
I was up on a stage five feet above the sea of foam-covered dancers as the foam was pumped in by a full-size fire truck. The music was loud, the people were great, and everyone I talked too said it was a huge hit.
Look for Borrowed Bucks to do this again in the very near future, and hopefully BeLoud Entertainment can be a part of it again.

TAIPEI – A hotel in Taiwan organized an impromptu wedding for a Slovakian couple who found themselves stranded on the island for six days and unable to get home for their own long-planned ceremony after volcanic ash closed Europe’s skies.
A couple, Greg Rewis and Stephanie Sullivan, who met on Twitter and got engaged on Twitter are now rounding it off by getting married on Twitter. How you ask? By getting their children from previous marriages will live tweet the ceremony, reciting their marriage vows in 140-characters-or-less increments as a minister pronounces Rewis and Sullivan man and wife.
